working for american red cross telerecruiter tips?

by admin on January 15, 2012

I Just got a Job at the american red cross as a telerecruiter and actually start my orientation today. Honestly I Just kind of went on the interview b/c my moms friend works there and says it a great Job although ive never had much experience with customer service, i worked here and there but im only 21. I don’t even understand how i got the Job because im pretty shy and i though the interview was kind of a mess but to my surprise they called me 2 days later saying that i got the position. The position pretty much is telerecruiting and you have to try and get people who have already donated to donate again. They have a week of training when you first start but i am extremely nervous i felt like i lost my last job b/c of my poor Communication skills i try hard to relate to people but it seems like they just don’t understand me i started taking adderall from doctor to try and calm my nervous and have my thoughts more organized but my question i guess is … what are some things i can do to get over my anxiety so that i can keep this job?.. and I really would love tips on how to be good telerecruiter and get people to come back and give blood?.. ugh please help i need to keep this Job so badly and i was discouraged tremendously from my other job…g

first of all , you got the job because of your Mom, Red Cross is Political.
Try to relax & do your best, your communications skillls will soon come naturally.
It is normal to be anxious about any new endeavor you are taking on.
Good luck to you !
